At SOMT University of Physiotherapy, we train physiotherapists to become specialists in human movement through our (master’s) degree programs. After completing a training you are a specialist, who provides sustainable responsible care according to (inter)national standards. You are also a discussion partner of academic level within a multidisciplinary setting.
After your Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, there are several opportunities to further deepen and develop at the HBO Master’s level. With a Master of Science title in physical therapy, you will be ready for the next step in your career.
Accelerate or deepen
The masters are designed for physical therapists who are already working in the physical therapy field and who want further training in describing, analyzing and treating health problems from a biopsychosocial view of health and disease. You do this against a constantly changing background of scientific, social and technological developments. With innovative, competence- and practice-oriented education, as a physical therapist you will develop a high level of rational, evidence-based clinical reasoning and clinical decision making. You will be coached by teachers with an academic background and extensive practical experience.
After completing a Master’s program, a student receives a diploma with the degree of Master of Science in physical therapy and may use the title MSc . All programs at SOMT University of Physiotherapy are accredited by the NVAO.
