The application deadline is 1 September. For programmes starting in January, the deadline is 1 December. Individual requests for late application may be considered.
We do not set a fixed limit on the number of applications per programme.
We work with small teaching groups, with a maximum of 15 students per group.
The HBO master’s programmes in Manual Therapy, Pelvic Physiotherapy, Sports Physiotherapy, and Physiotherapy in Geriatrics are eligible for registration in the relevant CKR sub-registers and specialisation registers.
If your employee enrols in a programme at SOMT University of Physiotherapy, you are unfortunately not eligible for the WVA scheme.
If you do not meet the required diploma or subject combination, you will need to take additional entrance exams. These exams are organised by the CCVX.
With the exception of Mathematics, these exams are conducted in Dutch. The Mathematics exam can be taken in both English and Dutch.

We place a strong emphasis on quality, meaning not all proposals will be accepted. Key criteria include scientific evidence and substantial teaching experience.
For each course, masterclass, or symposium, we determine which KNGF register accreditation will be requested for.
If accreditation is granted, the corresponding points are listed under the “Accreditation” section of the specific event. In some cases, accreditation may still be pending at the start of the event; this will also be indicated on the website.
No rights can be derived from the accreditation points listed on the website.
In some cases, exemptions may be granted. Relevant work experience or previously completed (partial) programmes may be taken into account.
After enrolment, the Examination Board will assess your individual situation based on your background and academic results.

Yes, provided you can demonstrate sufficient knowledge at VWO level in Biology, Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. A preliminary exam may be required. These exams are organised by the CCVX.

Yes, for our university Bachelor of Physiotherapy and full-time HBO master’s programmes, you can apply for student finance.
As these programmes are privately funded, you may be eligible to borrow a higher amount for tuition fees compared to regular publicly funded programmes. You can apply via the Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs (DUO).
Since 1 July 2014, graduates of an HBO master’s programme at SOMT University of Physiotherapy receive the degree Master of Science (MSc).
The title is awarded upon successful completion of the programme and is not applied retroactively to graduates from before this date.
