The Accreditation Committee of the Quality House for Physical Therapy accredits continuing education and training activities relevant to physical therapists. The Quality House Physical Therapy is a joint initiative of the Foundation Quality Mark Physical Therapy (SKF) and the Royal Dutch Society for Physical Therapy (KNGF). All training relevant to physical therapists can qualify for accreditation for the Individual Register of Physical Therapy. Accreditation can only be requested by the provider of the training activity.
The accreditation commission of the Quality House Physical Therapy tests every training activity on organizational, content-related and educational aspects. With the accreditation of training activities, the accreditation committee confirms to the registered physical therapists that the training activities they follow are actually professional and profession-related and contribute to the development of physical therapy practice. In this way, accredited training contributes to the promotion of expertise of physical therapists. The implementation of the accreditation process takes place on the basis of the accreditation policy established by the Physical Therapy Quality Board.
Within the Physiotherapy Quality House, it is possible for training providers to qualify for institutional accreditation. SOMT University of Physiotherapy holds this institutional accreditation. Institutional accreditation gives SOMT the authority to accredit its own training offerings.
Accredited courses in the field of continuing education can earn the physical therapist points within the SKF and/or KRF NL regulations of the Individual Register of Physical Therapy. Our courses are accredited for several registers, so that points can be obtained for the Individual Register of Physical Therapy within the SKF and/or KRF NL. In our overview of continuing education you will find detailed accreditation information per course.
